WORTHY was created in the summer of 2018, originally as a portfolio for photography work that Claire Poirier was capturing while being on staff at a summer camp. That August, WORTHY released their first line of merchandise with three tees of simple design. Since then, more merchandise was released, and WORTHY became a design archive of personal and freelance design and photographic works.

Over the years, the meaning behind WORTHY went back and forth with Claire. In 2019, many freelance works were made for people and organizations that focus on promoting the good in life or the good in people. This wasn’t on purpose but was realized after a long process of wondering what WORTHY’s mission was. In the fall of 2019, WORTHY sold screen prints in collaboration with Lakeshore Camp & Retreat Center to raise money for campers who couldn’t pay full camp fees. Because of the great success of this project, WORTHY’s message continued to be connected with good.

As of 2020, WORTHY has established itself as a way to encourage and promote the message that we are all “created with a purpose”, no matter ones background or beliefs. WORTHY continues to be a way to showcase works and products, and the occasional design for current hyper-fixations.
